I have been practicing the Science of Mind stuff for several months since I discovered the Center for Positive Living in Charlotte. I am seeing events in my life that I used to shrug off as coincidence but now I am starting to believe that I actually may be manifesting these events through my thoughts and intentions.
For example, a couple of days ago I was walking my dog and was feeling lonely and really wanted to talk to someone. It was night and the moon was diffused by the clouds creeping overhead. I decided to lay in the cool grass (which I never do) and just enjoy the moment viewing the moon through the leafless trees. As I got up to leave, I heard a voice from across the street yelling “do you know where the Buddhist center is located”.
I turned around and in the darkness I saw the figure of a man with a backpack and I approached him. He said that he had just got off the bus and was looking for the center. It was his lucky day because that was the exact center (Vajradhara Buddhist Center) I had discovered in my neighborhood several month ago. He asked for a ride and I drove him to the Buddhist center.
If I had not decided to lie in the grass, I would have missed meeting this person and he would have wandered very far from the center. In fact, if he had asked any one else in my neighborhood (assuming there was anybody outside walking the streets) they probably would not have known that the Buddhist center even existed.
The nice thing about this was how much better I felt by helping someone else and that I was focusing too much on my problems and my issues…
On the other hand, that man may have manifested me to help him find the center! In either case it was mutually beneficial to both of us.
In another instance, I kept thinking about a friend I had not heard from in 6 years. Sure enough, a week later I get a letter in the mail from him but I am too busy to call him back. That Sunday (at the Center for Positive Living in Charlotte) I get to church late and have to sit in the front which I never do. As I turn around to grab the program I look up and there he is standing right front of me. Later on I learn that he has never attended that church but a friend had asked him to come that weekend….
The list is getting bigger and I am beginning to see that we are all connected in some way and that all we need to do is ask and have faith that it will be given.
“If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to younder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.”
